Dear Special One,
It feels good to say hello again! The last time I wrote was in October, so it is time to reconnect. I hope you’ve had a great rest and celebration over the holidays! I love having a reset for the New Year, as it’s a wonderful opportunity for change. I’ve decided to have a crisp start for a new era, and I’m excited about the possibilities of a refreshed life!
 
Last year, my partner and I filmed several short videos. It takes a long time to get them ready for public viewing. So this will be one our priorities this year, to get new videos and newsletters up online for you to check out. It is our way of staying in touch.
 
I thank everyone for their wonderful email responses, and I’m doing what I can to reply. If you haven’t heard from me yet, know that I have a queue and I intend to write back when possible. I do send you a big heart wave of love bubbles for your sweet personal letters!
 
For this newsletter, I wanted to feature my partner George Gliszczynski as a guest writer and film-maker! He has created his own video channel of his work! Please check out his article below for more details. He is such a wonderful human-being, a creative talent, intelligent, and wise too! George is also incredibly generous and very loving. He shares his works below from his heart.
 
One of the parts of his new video collection 'Expats' is a theatrical musical that I was a part of. I appear briefly at the end of the show in the last three parts (7, 8, 9) in a cameo role as a burlesque dancer. I also helped out behind the scenes as a video & editing assistant. It was a fun experience to learn to work with a large creative team, developing an original artistic project.

Regarding creativity, I hope you find space in life to explore your unique imagination. Making time to journal original ideas is soul rejuvenating! Sometimes after several days of putting out a few pieces, one can have an 'aha' moment of a major brainstorm for your metaphorical jigsaw puzzle.

It’s that time of year when I like to savor a shamanic experience and embrace seasonal thoughts…which open up ways to connect to the middle path between the worlds of duality.

This inspiration comes when endings and beginnings are dancing together. At the ending of a cycle and with its last moment of expression, what follows is a metaphorical death or a completion. There is a letting go and a surrender to the raw moment of transcendence.

Twice a year during the Equinox, there is a small window where duality merges. It lands in between the celestial and earth cycles. It’s that sacred yummy space. What occurs is a three day metamorphic shift. It’s a time to celebrate our life and all that we’ve accomplished lately!

I take this time to explore the concepts of extreme opposites, as in the feminine and masculine. It can offer some insights into the adverse effects when we avoid balance. This can manifest in ill health as a result of negative emotions. There can also be a sense of stagnation when this is not addressed. When we have reached our limits of sameness, we are finally ready to embrace change.

Being consciously competent is key. Together we are all aspects of community at large. We are here to teach one another through our living example. This is an opportunity to display a form of a healthy balance within our own lives. We can then surrender to the stillness of connection, and be willing to receive suggestions from one’s soul.

May you take time out this week to reflect on your inner insights and make time to explore the clues that can help you radiate joy on your path to wholeness :-)

Dear Sacred Heart,

Today is a special day as we complete the Holy Week with Easter… beginning with the Spring Equinox for Northerners, while it’s the Autumn Equinox for us Southerners. Wherever you’re residing, it’s a global theme of death and rebirth. So whether you are experiencing Spring or acknowledging the resurrection of Jesus (or celebrating the Christ Consciousness of ‘agape love’)… we can all relate with the metaphor of the egg. Eggs represent birthing something new into this world.

I am still passionate about my own birth of this new internet Mystery School, and am having fun as I see it evolve. It has a lot to do with my own passions, and seeing how others are responding to my online activity. I have been out of circulation now for over 3-years, so it is interesting to get back into how the internet has evolved.

With that being said, I am still nurturing my first project as a Conscious Rebel Mentor. Since I am specializing with something unique, I feel I need to define that better.

Being an advocate of Shamanic Astrology, as well as basic Astronomy, I think it’s worthy of noting that we have gone through a BIG Shift! I feel our world needs healing from the old Age of Pisces into the new Age of Aquarius. I’ve decided to do an interview with a real Conscious Rebel who wants to Steward a new Aquarian World.

To me a rebel that is 'conscious' is one who has their heart, soul and spirit open! It is one who is active as either an: activist, healer and artist.

It’s been about a month since I’ve last touched base and thought I’d say hello! I hope all is well with you and that your month of March is going well.

I am passionate about holding space for all that we’ve learned in the past cycle to honor the wisdom of the ages… while also holding space for all 12 astrological tribes and exploring our desire for innovation, eccentricity, creativity, community and enlightenment.

Speaking of different, one has to be a little unique when channeling the archetype of the artist. Art forms come in many ways such as painting, drawing, dancing, singing, music, food, architecture...just to name a few. How lovely that we have the ability to be unique creators, as we are all children of the Creator. With our lifetime, we have the ability to manifest unique artistic creations!

On that note, I would like to introduce to you my dear friend Hayley Jacqueline. She is a sista amiga here in Ecuador. It’s so wonderful to have a friend that is still working like me, as most of our friends are retired (…whom I also love). So together we have supported each other with our new projects. It’s very exciting sharing the love of creativity. She is fully committed to her passion for singing, songwriting and making it happen! It takes so much courage to step out of one’s comfort zone and really give fully to our hearts desire and share our personal gifts with others. To be so revealing takes guts!

Hayley has been working on her Crowd Funding Indiegogo program, as it’s getting ready to be launched very soon. Her band’s first endeavor is the Shades Project. In the meantime, my partner George Gliszczynski has been busy supporting her by creating two new beautiful music videos by filming and editing them, as they are original songs and both have been recorded in a music studio professionally. I’ve got some exciting news that could impact your plans for this year. My partner and I finally completed the long awaited “Global Forecast for 2018”! In this video, we take the wisdom from last year on how to “Love Your Sacred Self”, to now engage our sovereign nature in partnership. We will explore how this warrior archetype is activated within both women and men, and how the alchemy of several key pieces will blend together into a useful understanding.

With each new phase comes a metaphorical death and rebirth. When we let go of what no longer serves us, we make room for a new and improved sense of self. As we become more self-sufficient and confident in our being, this naturally radiates into our love for others to be fierce protectors of the cosmic balance. Perhaps since this year is unique within the celestial timings of the next 150 years, we might be inspired to take things up a notch. We could join a group, start our own project, protest unkind laws, get creative, serve with alternative health or spirituality… and more!

I hope your day is bright and beautiful! So far my day is going well, as I reflect on the recent ‘Holiday Series’ of videos that we recently posted. Part one and two are focused on loving yourself, and the third was a celebration of the New Year.

An aspect of self-love is making time to live the life we want. If we do an honest inventory, we may realize that during this new year there could be a lack of time or space. But if we have a desire to have a flourishing metaphorical garden, we need to get rid of the weeds. Otherwise, they will tend to choke out the good things in our lives. Even though it can seem unpleasant at first to weed, or remove the garbage and clutter from our lives, it does create the environment to allow our planted seeds to flourish. Besides our garden, the same goes for our house and our bodies.

I often find that the new year is a perfect time to cleanse. There is a timeless saying “Out with the old, and in with the new”. Recently I did an intense health cleanse. Just like a car that needs an oil change a few times a year to keep it running efficiently and smoothly, so do our bodies.

Here is a photo of my friend and Alternative Health Mentor Susan Schenck, the 'Water Ceremony' (after 82-hours without fluids), and our Altar... that gave us strength to keep going!

During my first Dry Fast detox, I lost 10 lbs from this cleanse and my energy levels greatly improved. Now I feel a lot healthier from my contraction experience. Maybe this might inspire you to take some time out to consider how you might want to let go of what no longer is serving your body. It’s all a part of self-love. You deserve to feel better. Your time is valuable. It is an opportunity to just be, rather than do.

Dear Sacred Heart,
It’s a very exciting day today as its New Year’s Eve… it’s our last day of 2017! This is a terrific time to celebrate all of our accomplishments for this last year, and be grateful that we’ve come out the other side of a few challenges too. ​It’s time to stop and smell the roses :-)

It’s also a wonderful time over the next week or two to reflect on our life lessons, learn from what’s worked and what hasn’t. With all of that in mind, it’s also good to make time for our inner world… to see what kind of emotional and spiritual messages are true for our soul’s journey. Perhaps we may want to tweak our life path by having some new year’s resolutions? Hmm… sounds good!

I wanted to share some exciting news. We’ve got a new video that addresses this, that’s inspiring to take a sabbatical to have the time to connect to our deeper self. So even if you have to go back to school or work after the holy-days, we can still make some ‘me time’ in the evenings and weekends and set some ‘boundaries’ with our peers that we are unavailable for a bit.

We all have an aspect of the yin/feminine (inner world) and yang/masculine (outer self). Most of us have been socialized by culture to be more in our masculine selves, despite our gender. So taking some time out to reflect our own truest of feelings and re-assess ones life path is crucial, that we don’t stay numb and avoid the yearning that our spirit desires for a more fulfilling journey. We were created unique to any other being in the entire Universe… so no one can possibly love ourselves as good as our self. 

​Our first year, 2015, was super exciting! I wasn’t sure if I was terrified or thrilled?! We just couldn’t stop smiling! :-) My dreams were amazing! However, without knowing Spanish, it was a challenge doing more legal paperwork, and running around attempting to get grounded and learn about our new homeland and where to buy stuff. We found a wonderful all purpose handymen, Tarquino, who basically with our help, totally renovated our house mostly by himself. This full-time job took nine months to finish and made the space our own.

During this time, my husband suggested I go out as much as possible to get to know our new community. I began by accepting many invitations to lunches, dinner gatherings and house parties. As well, I found a lovely shamanic community and went to regular ceremonies. So much love was and still is exchanged with my fascinating new international friends. Most people I know are from the United States, and some are from Canada and Europe. I also have a few local Ecuadorian friends.

​The natural plant life is gorgeous, as we live in a type of bowl in a sunken valley with little mountains all around. Four energetic rivers flow through the town, so vibrant and alive! Due to the 8000 ft elevation, there are few insects and the weather is temperate with warm days and cool nights. It is kind of like the ‘land of eternal spring’. We get to have summer during December, so it’s quite hot right now on most days. And it’s like having four-seasons in a day, so I get to change a lot. There is no need for central heat or air-conditioning. The produce is awesome as there are so many fruits and vegetables to choose from including many exotic ones at amazing low prices. The cost of living is incredibly affordable, especially when it comes to the basics (ie: rent, property taxes, food, transportation, entertainment, hotels, travel). However, anything imported can be quite pricey too, such a clothes and electronics. But mostly it is greatly appreciated not having to stress about basic living expenses.

​My dear local friends were very thoughtful to put on a 50th birthday party for me in May. It was a celebration of a lifetime!!! Coincidently, one of my close friends also has the same birthday and was turning 70,  so we had a ‘double decade’ birthday party together…what a blast! A few friends were also part of a band that played beautiful jazz music on the rooftop on a warm evening. Additionally, several friends performed for us for a good hour in the living room, with poetry, prayers, songs, dance, juggling and a monologue. Wow, what a treat! I did a duet dance with a girlfriend and we did the Charleston (…the happy dance)!

I started to become a hermit after doing so much socializing. I began feeling quite burned out from my life in North America and the move to South America. Finally my health caught up with me. Too much emotional and physical exertion just overwhelmed me, and I had to begin declining the many invitations. I needed to recharge.

It can be a little challenging when most of my local friends are retired with all the time in the world. Yes, I did take a three year sabbatical here, but I’m definitely not retired. I still desire being active with more inspirational projects to fulfill my life purpose. But as life would have it, I was forced to slow down. I inadvertently injured by shoulder by carrying too much weight in my knapsack and severely pulled several back and shoulder muscles. So, whether I liked it or not, I was out of commission for the last half year while my shoulder healed from the pain.

​We have been mostly focused on continuing to fix up our house and getting settled. Our travelling adventures since coming to Ecuador have managed to take us to several quaint towns, indigenous villages and ancient ruins, all within a two hours radius. There are some stunning waterfalls, forests, valleys and exotic trees and flowers to enjoy. Although there are not many wild animals in this region, the birds are wonderful and the few insects are usually benign, big and fascinating. The all seem very conscious and aware. It’s always nice to get away and have a break. There is a little town nearby that has several hot springs pools to bath in. That’s always a treat! We sometimes check out the movie theater, live musicians, bands as well as the choir and symphony orchestra which perform in the magnificent 500-year old cathedral. Most entertainment is free!

​As for you, my dear friend, I hope you too can take a breather during the holiday seasons to get some rest, celebrate your year and enjoy friends and family. Wishing you a happy belated Winter Solstice (Summer Solstice ~ for us in the Southern Hemisphere), Christmas, Hanukkah, and any other special holiday that is sacred to you.

Please note this is our first video! We both had injuries this year which held us back from posting it until now. We had hoped for it to happen much sooner than the end of the year! I did mention 2017 a couple of times, but it’s still relevant as the GREAT YEAR is in beginning stages of creating a new world for everyone.
